Crescent Sun is a monster breeding and real-time combat RPG that combines deep creature management with fast-paced, command-driven battles.
Core Systems
Monster Stats
Every monster has four core stats that grow through battle actions:
Basic attacks
Special attacks
Movement
Taking damage
Stats affect derived attributes like HP, Power, Move Speed, Dodge Reaction Time, and more. Your playstyle directly shapes your monster's capabilities.
Breeding System
Monsters evolve across generations through breeding:
- Gen 1: Base monsters (16 types)
- Gen 2: Mixed features, stronger stats
- Gen 3: Exotic hybrids with unique abilities
- Gen 4: Mythological creatures (cross-class breeding)
Child stats inherit from parents with variance. Birthmarks add random modifiers (-20% to +20%) per stat, making each monster unique.
Real-Time Combat
Battles happen in real-time with no menus or turn-based systems.
Stances
- Aggressive: Attack on sight
- Defensive: Cautious, prioritize ranged
- Supportive: Heal, buff, debuff
- Passive: Follow and flee
Elements
- Fire, Ice, Air, Earth
- Light, Dark
- Elemental affinities based on type + birthmark
Command & Obedience
Monsters aren't always obedient. Command success depends on:
- INT: Higher intelligence = better obedience
- Temperament: Affected by feeding, praising, scolding
Failed commands trigger a cooldown. Disobedient monsters revert to their Core AI until you regain control.
Arena System
Compete in ranked 1v1 and 2v2 battles across multiple arenas.
Ladder rank unlocks new world regions. Beat the final S-rank tournament to complete the game.
World Structure
The world is a circular island divided into four themed quadrants, each corresponding to a monster class:
Insect Region
Mammal Region
Reptile Region
Avian Region
A fifth, unthemed final area sits at the center - the ultimate challenge with Gen 4 creatures and the S-rank tournament.
